Christmas Program–a little different

Come experience the Christmas Story a little differently this year!
The Springdale United Methodist Church is blessed to be able to have the Children’s Christmas Program on Sun., Dec. 14th in a BARN in Springdale starting at 10:30 am (usual worship time).   The barn is on Herman Paulsen’s propery located at 569 – 290th Street where Lara Barnhart now lives.  The children (including 2 year olds through high school students) will re-enact the Christmas story with live animals in the surroundings of a local barn.  There will be bales with some blankets on them to sit upon as we watch this story unfold with Christmas carols sung throughout the program.  You may also bring an extra blanket to use if you wish.  We will have some gentlemen parking cars if you want to pull in the driveway to walk into the barn and then they will park your vehicle on the street for you as there will be livestock trailers in the driveway area limiting parking there.  (Prayers for gentle December weather so parking is not an issue!)
Please plan to bring “White gifts” that we will present to the manger – our small gift that may be used at our local food pantry for those in need.  These gifts may include non-perishable items or paper products (plus baby food & diapers are always needed) and wrapped in white tissue paper or the back side of wrapping paper so they are “White” gifts similar to our sinless Savior Jesus – white representing purity.  We will then proceed to the church for fellowship and treats.  You are welcome to bring finger foods to share with others if you wish.
The practice for the program will be Sat., Dec. 13th at 9 am (meet at the church first) and each child will discover what part of this story they have to portray.  Each portion of the Christmas story is so important so come and play your part!
